Ailsa Street Space is located on the west side of the Bow Creek canal in East London and consists of the old Leonard and Ailsa docks and the adjacent community space. The site was originally a green field, that became industrial – a space for a docks and oil tanks – then a recycling and timber supply area that completely segregated communities, becoming disconnected from the surroundings. As large areas of land were left unused and the site began to be occupied by various functions, waste was piled up on the site, the former pier was overgrown, and the remaining walls blended in with the vegetation.

Healing Park proposes a worm farm, dedicated to restoring and enhancing soil fertility and rationalising the use of the waste management station. Moreover, water will be purified and collected using wetlands and rain gardens, replacing some of the hard riverbanks and reused for agricultural production and worm composting.

After a certain period of time, the site's soil will be purified and a circular link between waste management, worm composting and water purification will be created, with the addition of educational and commercial activities.
