Preamble Role of Georgia - as a country of the invaluable strategic geopolitical standing - in the process of the globalization of the modern humanity, exposes it [Georgia] and its capital Tbilisi to the new challenges. This challenge is deficit of time; time, as you are aware, represents fourth dimension. Swiftness and rapidity are the languages of the modern humanity; hence, importance of the instantaneous connection is paramount, and thus, has its vital essence. - Concept Since, building of the airport showcases the county itself for gusts as a whole, we created a building, which envisages a genetic code of the expanse and existing environment; with its individual systematic and structural outward appearance. The paradigm of the appearance of our airport is flying, wing, lightness, transparency, air, the sun, array of the sunshine, and in general lightness, lost in eternity, creation of the line as the symbol of infinity, our airport exhibits the Möbius strip, and unfolds itself in the dimension of the time and space and is the linkage point of the time and space. - Description of the Project The venue of the project is at the south-east of the city, at that very place where existing airport is situated currently. The entrance in the territory can be made via existing road, which is connected to the main three-layered transportation hub. The main road goes down to level (-3.00) and level (-6.00). Under the plan of the project level (-0.00) is the passengers exist. The level (-3.00) can be applied by transportation for the administration (staff) and for the arrived passengers, as for the level (-6.00), it is designated for parking. The building consists of two blocks: (i) Block A – ‘Main Terminal’ and (ii) Block B – ‘Little Tbilisi’, which creates one unique and indivisible organism. The ‘Main Terminal’ is divided into several functional zones, which are as following: 1./ Departure Lounge; 2./ Arrivals; 3./ Recreational Zone; 4./ Free Industrial Zone; 5./ Hotel; 6./ Finance Zone. The vectoral axis of the building is the multi-level interconnecting system of structures, which interlinks (amalgamates) administrative and other zones of the airport into one another. Since, the modern era is accompanied with the deficit of time and financial rationalism, in the planning of our airport project, we created separated ‘Visa Free Space’ – which can be used by the business sector. So called ‘Little Tbilisi’ is their [business sector] only connecting point to the country, and thus ‘Little Tbilisi’ is the illustration of the modern world in which deficit of time and business common sense have their defining input of the planning of our project.
