项目场地位于中国重庆市江津区的老城区，原址为际华三五三九制鞋厂。旧建筑存留了三线建设时期西南大区工业厂区的典型风貌与时代特征，具有重要历史文化价值。本设计包含两个部分——城市设计和单体设计。前期根据《江津区历史文化名城保护规划》对厂区进行了城市设计，在基本保存原有空间结构和立面风貌的基础上，对厂区进行多种更新，以激发厂区活力。后期对有特色的老建筑进行改造更新，从结构、材料等多方面入手，使老建筑保存了原有特色，并植入新功能，赋予旧建筑崭新的意义。
The project is located in the old town of Jiangjin District, Chongqing, China, where the former Jihua 3539 Shoe Factory was located. The factory's old buildings maintain the typical appearance and characteristics of the industrial factories in the southwest region during the Third Line construction period and thus have important historical and cultural value. The design consists of two parts - the urban design and the architecture design. In the first phase, the urban design concerning the factory was carried out according to the City Protection Plan issued by the local government. In addition to basically preserving the original spatial structure and façade style, various strategies were adopted to revitalize the area. In the latter stage, the old buildings with special features were renovated and renewed, starting from structure and materials, so that the old buildings could have new functions as well as preserve their original features , giving the old buildings a brand new role to play.
